Pho Thanh - vietnamese noodle soup

You must really love your Phở (vietnamese noodle soup) in order to go to this restaurant, which is 30 minutes by car from the center of Montreal. My turtle friend seems to agree.
Sansotei Ramen
 |
Ramen is a Japanese dish that consists of noodles in a broth. The broth can be made with many different ingredients, but the most important ingredient is the stock. The slow method is best if you have time to simmer the broth for several hours, and Sansotei Ramen have mastered the technique.
Marusan
 |
Marusan specializes in Hakata-style ramen, which is known for its rich, creamy tonkotsu (pork bone) broth. The restaurant is located in the Time Out Market, in the heart of downtown Montréal. The ramen I ordered came with a soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, seaweed and green onions. The broth was very good, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The chashu was also top notch – it was very tender, and the fatty parts of the meat were perfectly balanced with lean meat. One bite was all it took for me, and that’s all it will take to get you hooked, too.
Tsukuyomi Ramen

“The secret is in the stock. It has to simmer for hours and hours with the right ingredients – and love. The result is a rich and mouth-watering stock. This restaurant sits at number two on my list!”
